The Little Truckee River has seen a better blue winged olive hatch than the Truckee River. Try using dry fly techniques on the stretch of river between Boca and Stampede Reservoirs. Some patterns to try are Blue Winged Olives, small midges, or small nymphs (size 20-22). Please stay out of the trout and kokanee spawning areas that are marked with signs.
FLOWS: 30 CFS

RECOMMENDED GEAR:
Bugs: Blue Winged Olives, Small Midges, Small Nymphs
Gear:  9′-10′ 4-6wt rod with 9′-12′ 6x leader
