The largemouth bass are still at 15-20 feet deep. One new angler to Lake Murray fished from his own boat and caught 4 nice bass and lost 2. The fish were all about 15 foot deep and in the 2 lb. category. He was fishing with plastic worms ( margarita mutilator). Don’t forget, shiners, this time of year is probably the most productive bait you can get.

The temperature moved up into the 80’s this week. The best fishing was for crappie this week. The Arms and Alvardado Bay were producing good size fish. We have shiners at the bait shop that are working well. Crappie jigs and rigs were also doing good things. The Catfish have been steady with the recent plant. The weather was warm out here this week. The bass were spotted in close. Texas rigs with senkos reported doing well on the area near the entrance to the lake. The crappie bite has started out here. Grab live shiners from the bait shop with your crappie rigs. Trout are definite biting as well. A few catfish were reeled in as well. ...... Read More
