There were a few Salmon caught today on the west edge of the Soquel Hole. The Salmon were caught trolling 150-220 feet down near the edge of the canyon. There were some Blue fin spotted at 36'49/122'01 and 36'44/122'09. I did hear of a few fish caught but not many. There were a bunch of boats trolling fast all over so the Bluefin may have gone down. I would try slow trolling bait or Rapalas on a down rigger or try to cast at them with Poppers or metal jigs. The Cedar Plugs will work but you have to swing your lures into the fish and not drive over them like Albacore. The Halibut are starting to show up near Capitola. The Rock fishing was good near Natural Bridges and in the deep water up the coast.
