Captain Mike Pritchard checked in this morning with an update from the Cortes Bank.  We had 26 quality Yellowtail this morning for our 19 anglers.  The fishing is steady.

Very fun tuna fishing down here right now with everyone getting in on the action. Sprinkle in a little bit of yellowtail, dorado, and a token wahoo, and you've got yourself a great start to a fantastic trip.

We have reached our Salmon Quota for the 1st season today and it will be closing Tuesday, August 18th which will be the last opportunity to get Salmon until September 1st.  We do have very limited space availble next Monday

40 bluefin yesterday and between last night, made a move and we’re up too 40 yellowtail 15-35 pounds for our morning plenty of time left.

Today we went to another part of the coast looking for action. We found steady action on calico bass, sheep head, bonito, barracuda and white seabass. It was an action filled day in spectacular weather.    Tim Osborne with a nice white

Our local angler, Steve Beasely, landed a couple of nice stripers while trolling on Lake Mohave near Davis Dam. He was using a jig to land these fish, and other anglers are also getting a few stripers on anchovies and
