Water Temp: start  69 degrees

finish 71 – 72 degrees

Water clarity: 8 to 10 feet in most areas. Less in other areas

Fishing is on fire right now. There are bait balls all over. The fish are actively chasing and feeding on these bait balls. Reaction baits are the way to go right now. Crankbaits and jerkbaits are the baits that are working really well. Jerkbait of choice is the Megabass vision 110 and the vision 110 +1. Natural colors are working but the brighter colors are producing more numbers of fish. Underspins are also working as they resemble the bait in the lake. The water level is beginning to come back up and with the rising water level the lake is still pretty clear of floating debris. For anglers wanting to just get out and catch some fish Lake Oroville is the place to go. Hope this helps out good luck and tight lines.
