Bass have been biting pretty well despite the dirtier water conditions over the past couple of weeks since the most recent storms. Anglers have had luck using glide baits, chatterbaits and various soft plastics throughout the day like roboworms or senkos and jigs around structures and steeper walls or rocky cliffs, working their baits very slowly with the colder water conditions. Stripers are being caught mainly off cut baits like sardines and mackerel or trolling the lake with lead heads or kastmasters have also been working well during the stormy weather. Catfish are biting very well deep within the coves on cut baits like Chicken liver, Sardines and worms as well with a carolina rig and a longer leader to endure the currents. Trout have slowed quite a bit since the previous plant but are biting in deeper water on natural colored power baits and nightcrawlers.
