Recap of last few days with Capt. CJ

CJ had Ed Klein and friends on Special Eyes 3 Thursday & Friday.  They met at the boat and opted to pull the plug before leaving the dock Thursday due to wind and lake conditions.  Friday was his day to struggle and it was a longgggggg one for the captain and crew! They trudged through the head seas to set up north of the reef complex and spun around to put them on the tail. The screen was loaded with fish but they seemed to zig and evidentially CJ zagged and just never got it going like he had hoped and they ground there way to 21 out of their 36. The crew earned every single fish Friday that they put in the box.  If Capt CJ would’ve had hula poppers on the boat he probably would’ve ran them 🤣! They were with Capt John on Saturday and I’m sure his report will be coming soon.

Saturday, CJ had Joe and his family with him and he was out for redemption! The weather wasn’t exactly ideal as they had wind, rain, sideways rain then sunshine and a lot more wind from a different direction and they were able to get things done as the lake was getting pretty damn cranky.

Both days they trolled running a mix of bandits, Bomber 24a, TDD9’s along with Big Fish Tuff Tackle Co. TT50’s on the corners w/ shallow bandits and spoons.  Thank you to both groups for hanging tough and dealing with the lousy weather we continue to have! CJ still have a few days listed below that are open before he wraps up his western basin season and heads off to Ashtabula for the summer.
