EAST WALKER RIVER       

The East is still fishing very well on the Nevada side, we’re still getting good reports almost daily from down there. The water flows have been fluctuating a bit, which is typical for this time of the year, but it hasn’t seemed to slow the action down at all. Today the river if running at about 76cfs. There are some stoneflies hatching now, depending on the weather on any gived day so keep that in mind. Streamers and nymphs still seem to be the way to go so be prepared for those two techniques.  Some patterns to try: zebra midge, hare’s ear, little brown bug, pheasant tail, psycho prince, poxyback stone, micro stone, flashback emerger, sculpzilla, dead drift crayfish, ziwi, dali lama. 

SCEIRINE RANCH          

We’ve had a couple clients on the ranch this past week but were unable to get any reports back, that being said I would still say that it’s at least as good as the public section(s) on the ranch and likely the same types of patterns will work there. We are starting to get more bookings with the higher flows and nicer weather so if you want to book some time on the private water just give us a call.                

HUNEWILL POND         

It shouldn’t be too much longer for the pond to be back in action, I’ll start checking on it when the ground dries out a bit and let you know how it’s doing.

Ken’s Winter Hours: Tuesday - Saturday - 9am - 4pm - Closed Sunday & Monday

Waters/regulations that are open during the winter:

Robinson Creek, only from Lower Twin downstream, artificial flies or lures with barbless hook, zero fish limit.

Topaz Lake, open all year. 

Backcountry lakes with the exception of Kirman Lake all remain open all year.
