This week Isabella Lake increased to 39 percent of its storage capacity. Crappie have moved into the shallows and the bite was excellent this week. Anglers have been scoring limits of slabs to 2-pounds on live minnows. We had numerous reports of anglers doing well with 2” Keitechs and other paddle tails in the same size. Get bent baits in various colors have been producing quality bites as well. Bass have moved into the shallows and chasing glide baits. In the French Gulch area, bass have been showing on big jigs and Senkos in natural shad or smoke with no flake. Underspins and first gen top spins with Keitech have been getting quality bites. The trout bite is decent with Get Bent Baits, Hook Up Baits, spinners, and Garlic doused Pinched Crawlers. The annual Isabella Lake Fishing Derby is scheduled for April 12, 13 and 14, 2025.
