The Rockcod season is open in the morning so come fish Ano Nuevo while it is open for the next few months. The Salmon bite was slow in the morning but the bite picked up in the afternoon in the Soquel Hole. I fished from 1:00-6:00 at 36'51/121'57 to 36'51/121'58 near the edge of Soquel Hole and ended up with 3 fish from 17-25 pounds. The water was flat calm all day long. The same is expected for the next few days so come enjoy the Monterey Bay.

The salmon were taking Red Krocodiles, Blue and Chrome...... Read More

It was not wide open and some anglers did get skunked. The good thing is that the fish are big. I weighed in some nice fish and there were reports of the one that got away. The water was nice in the morning and fishable all day....... Read More
