According to Captain Temo Verboonen, the week in general was near perfect for sea conditions and overall weather and the fishing commenced at about 4 miles from the entrance to Zihuatanejo Bay and continued out to about 10 miles. Very good sailfish catches, (he used the term, sailfish were very cooperative). Even a couple of Pacific striped marlin were taken this week, along with a scattering of dorado and unfortunately, the yellowfin tuna vanished from the area. The inshore fishing was more difficult this past week with the fish being very close to the shore line and more finicky than in past weeks, almost like a seasonal change.

IZ Climate: Partly cloudy but very pleasant and warm days with temps from 72 nights to 94 daytime highs.

Sea Conditions: A very calm week with temps at a stable 85-86 degrees and excellent clarity.

Best Bait/Lure: Rigged baits for the offshore waters for the sailfish and live bait for the inshore, along with the pencil poppers.

Overall Bait Supply: Excellent
