The Salmon bite was a little better for some of the boaters who worked up the coast today. The anglers who worked from 36'52/122'04 to 36'54/122'08 caught some quality Salmon down 60-100 feet. There were a few fish caught of Davenport in 300 feet of water trolling down 60-100 feet. The few boats who worked in 120-200 feet of water straight out of the Harbor did catch a few fish. The Salmon bite in the Soquel Hole was slow but there were a few fish caught at 36'51/121'59. I did get some good reports from the anglers who ran up to Ano Nuevo. There were some limits of big Blacks and Lingcod in 60-75 feet of water. The key to fishing Ano Nuevo was to use a drift chute to slow your drift. I heard of some good signs in Capitola for Halibut and Seabass so you may want to try fishing there if you have a small boat. The wind started blowing around 10:30 so get here early if you want to run up the coast.
