The dry fly activity has been decent especially on cloudy days. The bugs are small and so are the patterns. Baetis dries and nymphs in 18's and 20's and midges in 20's and 22's have been working well.

Runoff season continues. The best place to fish the Truckee right now is near the town of Truckee. The flows through Truckee are 332 CFS. As you go down river it gets higher and higher. The water is still pretty clear and there are some fish being caught. Most of the fish are hanging on the edges out of the current due to the higher flows.
