READ RICH HOLLAND'S COLUMN! THE FISHING IS GREAT
Maybe global warming means SoCal will turn back into some Paleolithic swamp. Think how big the cats were, will the fish be that big?

Had to post another tuna picture, this time with my biggest from last week. That's me on the left, Artie Cosby in the middle and Peace Marvel on the right. Seaquar's John Devries snapped the shot. Ray Lynch of Realtree sent me some more awesome pics, but that's the way it is fishing -- when it's good, damn it's good.

Wish I could get out local this week, the yellowtail fishing is off the hook and it's so good they have time to look for tuna. Then there is my old fave, the Freelance, out whacking bonito at Catalina Island. Are you keeping up with your SportfishingReport.com iPhone app?

I'll be heading up to the June Lake cabin with my wife Barb for our 26th anniversary. Maybe I'll finally see the sun.

Definitely will get the boat out for some late season trout fishing with my nephew Jake Suppa. Remember when he was a gap-toothed kidding holding up a giant king salmon in a magazine that is now long dead? Well, he's going to be the proud father of a son, so he better get out fishing while he can because time is going to tighten up soon.

Life moves on and our connection to the Earth as fishermen and hunters is eternal. Others just don't fully understand.
