SFR catch awards to be given out Wednesday

Website
SportfishingReport.com will be giving out its Annual Landing and Boat Awards for the best catches of the 2010 season this Wednesday at the Fred Hall Show at our booth. If you don't want to use the handy search function on the Fred Hall Show iPhone app, the booth number is 712.
We'll be handing out or striking new plaques and certificates (designed by Debra Thrash of Thrashdesign.com) all day Wednesday so that the winners who want to can display their awards at their booths. This is the first year we have kept the cumulative catch data offline during the course of the season, but it will all be up soon on the SportfishingReport.com website. But really, who cares who came in second? Note that boats are classed by size (passenger capacity). The San Diego was the top yellowtail boat in its size class, while the Legend took Large Sportboat honors for albacore and the New Lo-An topped the Sportboat category for bluefin. The Pursuit and the Bongos III showed how much they fish -- and how much they fish Catalina -- by taking a vast multi-species haul of awards. Special kudos go to the Sea Angler out of 22nd St. Landing for winning the sanddab category 10 years in a row and to the Dreamer for top white seabass catch for 10 years in a row. There will be more discussion on the great catches later on SFR, but meanwhile congratulations to all!
