The Salmon bite continues to be good for the anglers who are working the edge of the Moss Landing Canyon down to the flats of Mulligans. The best areas were 36'48/121'54, 36'45/121'52, 36'46/121'53, and 36'42/121'51. There were scores of limits reported early from the anglers who trolled down 150-190 feet. The best bet was to troll Blue Kajikis, Purple Haze Kajikis, Green Kajikis, Watermelon Sting Kings, and Blue and Chrome Apexes. There were some good reports of anglers trolling big Krippled Herrings, and Glow Green Krippled Anchovies. The water was nice all morning and the best bite was from 7:00 to 11:00. The same weather is expected for the next few days. The Halibut bite picked up today with some nice fish being caught on Anchovies and Squid. The Halibut are still being caught in 40-60 feet of water from Capitola to Natural Bridges. The Rockcod fishing was decent at South Rock. The winds were up early for the anglers who tried to run to Ano Nuevo so they stayed local. The Capitola area is still producing some nice Striped Bass.
