The Salmon bite was slower for some of the anglers but there were a few early limits. The fish were caught at 36'49/121'57 down to 36'51/121'53. The fish were caught from 110-200 feet on the troll. The best bet was to troll Watermelon Krocodiles, Watermelon Apexes, Gold Spoons, Blue Kajikis, Glow Krippled Anchovies, and Cop Car Kajikis. The water was flat all morning but the afternoon wind did come up around 1:00. I just heard a few anglers fishing tonight that said the water was flat again this evening. It looks like it should be a good weekend. The Halibut bite picked up today with a few anglers reporting 1-3 fish being caught. The best bet is to work the sandy areas near the Lighthouse, Mile Buoy, or Capitola. The Rockcod fishing remains good.
