It was just another wide spectrum fishing week from Puerto Morelos that tallied a group of 13 different species for the anglers that included 2 blue marlin, 2 sailfish, 13 blackfin tuna, 14 Atlantic barracuda, 4 amberjack, 3 grouper, 1 shark, 9 dorado, 2 soapfish, 5 banana fish, 1 snapper 42 bonito, 11 triggerfish for their efforts. According to the fleet's skippers, the fishing continues to be exciting for the anglers, especially the family fishing groups with young anglers, and the best part is the never knowing what the next fish is going to be. This is a very unique area that produces a continuous variety on a daily basis that changes with every bite.

PM Climate: Mostly cloudy days with chances for an occasional shower and temps that range from 75 nights to 88 daytime highs and humid.

Sea Conditions: Excellent sea temps that ranged in the 83-84 degree mark and mostly light easterly surface breezes and perfect clarity.

Best Bait: The ballyhoo continues to be the bait of choice for all of the fishing crews in this area and while the use the bait a little differently from time to time, (trolling, chunks, strips, skirted, etc.) the ballyhoo continues to be the perfect bait.

Bait Supply: There has never been a problem with the ballyhoo bait supply for this are since we began reporting the fish counts. Freshly caught baits are provided on a daily basis.
