STRAIGHT CANYON CREEK: (November 04) Aquatics Biologist Dan Keller sampled the creek a week ago and reported catching brown trout ranging from 10 to 20 inches, most in the 12- to 13-inch range. The biggest fish were closer to the dam. Dan suggested parking below the dam, walking down one of the angler trails and fishing with a woolly bugger or another wet fly pattern. Please be cautious; the path down to the water is steep and slippery. The sides of the creek are also slippery.
