DENVER - Colorado Parks and Wildlife is inviting organizations with an interest in increasing outdoor awareness to join the 2014 Partners in the Outdoors Conference. The conference will be held in Colorado Springs from Feb. 21-22.
The conference brings together agencies, non-profit entities and companies that are actively engaged, or want to become engaged, in connecting people to the outdoors.
During the two-day event, breakout sessions will provide attendees the opportunity to talk about traditional outdoors skills, getting people outdoors, finding the right collaborative partners, and technology for the outdoors, among many other topics. Jim Davidson, a Colorado-based motivational speaker and owner of Speaking of Adventure, will give the keynote address on Friday.
Registration for the event opened on Nov. 4, and space is limited to the first 200 registrants. Until Jan. 31, registration fees are $75 per person. From Feb. 1-14, providing space is still available, registration fees are $125 per person. Included in the fees are lodging for one night, lunch on Friday, an awards banquet, networking opportunities and access to small partner grants. Registration fees go toward the Partner Grant account to be distributed to partners who attend the conference.
For a complete schedule, visit the conference webpage. For further questions, contact Allison Kincaid, the Colorado Parks and Wildlife Partnership Coordinator, at allison.kincaid@state.co.us, or at 303-291-7252.
