Bay Area Fish Report

Sturgeon anglers converge on the Green Can. One boat on Sunday caught seven sturgeon among three anglers (releasing four). Grass shrimp, ghost shrimp, pile worms and eel all work. Salmon roe also is working. Sturgeon have not been discriminating but the bite is best on incoming tide. Shoreline anglers are catching more striper – best is 28 inches – but most are 22 to 24 inches, and a few flounder. (707) 745-4921
