Saltwater Fish Report

Pot-luck trips to the South Bay and Paradise are getting better than a fish per rod with a 70-30 mix of halibut and striped bass. Live bait may be available by the weekend and that will help. Last Saturday’s salmon trip went fishless in rough weather. The Happy Hooker on Saturday had 15 halibut to 18 pounds, 11 stripers to 27 pounds for 17 anglers. The boat worked near Alameda. On Sunday, the boat had slower fishing, but had a 30 pound white sea bass taken near the Rock Wall. (510) 849-3333, (510) 223-5388, (707) 334-4827
