Reports of ice thickness in the past few weeks have ranged from four to eight inches. Some anglers have expressed confidence in safe ice conditions, while others are less certain. Due to unseasonably warm temperatures during the past week, ice conditions should be considered potentially hazardous. Please observe all ice-fishing safety recommendations. Seeley Cove on the west side should be avoided altogether, due to warm underwater springs. Fishing success has been mixed.
