We aren't adding any new ice, but conditions are holding steady with cold overnight temperatures. The ice ranges from eight to 14 inches in many spots. Fish are biting, but the bite is very light. ATV and sled use has been fairly high, but always use caution. Haws has become pretty unsafe, and there's some open water near the Narrows. Anglers have recently found the best fishing in 18-20 feet of water with white tub jigs. You should also try one- to two-inch jigs tipped with chub or shiners, mealworms or nightcrawlers.
