It was another good fishing week from Cabo San Lucas and has all the appearances of getting better and better with each passing day. The stripers are staring to get frisky and much more eager to chase the baits and want to bite and even better, is they are scattered about the area from just a couple miles out of the harbor and to the new area hot-spot at the 1150 Fathom Spot. High boat for the week was the Tuna Time, reporting in for 4 days fished with a total of 9 stripers released plus 1 wahoo and 4 skipjack tuna. According to Captain Roberto Marquez, the bite got progressively better by the day to the point where his anglers didn't want to catch any more marlin. Our on-the-spot local reporter for the Gaviota Sportfishing Fleet, Carlos Pena-Mireles, the boats were doing better with each passing day and most of the anglers had an opportunity for a billfish or two for their day's ishing. The overall combined counts or a total of 40 days fished reflected 37 stripers, (35 release3d) 1 mako shark, 2 wahoo, 4 yellowin tuna, 4 skipjack, 2 jack crevalle, (aka toro) 3 dorado and 2 roosterfish.
Cabo Climate: It was a partly cloudy week with intermittent sunshine and overall, pleasant days for fishing. Air temps varied rom 67 nights to 82 daytime highs, with a 25% humidity level.

Surface breezes are mostly from the westerly directions and ranged from very light to 14 mph.
Best Fishing Area: The 1150 Fathom Spot was the "hot-bite" area.
Best Lure/Bait: Rigged baits were working very well and the short biters were coming right back for the dropped back live baits.
Live Bait Supply: Very good supply of caballitos at the $3.00 per bait rate.
