It's hard to explain the slow offshore fishing right now, other than the fish, especially the billfish, are in the "love mode" and just not biting. This area is also affected by the full moon, too, which tends to decrease the overall billffish bite. The offshore counts for 7 fishing days reflected 5 stripers, 3 mako shark and 3 dorado. The inshore super pangas reporting for 11 fishing days reflected 25 barracuda, 2 pargo, 62 vaquetas, 15 conejos, 85 loras, 47 cochitos and 2 lenguas.

Mazatlan Climate: Partly cloudy days with a good mix of sunshine, temps from 60 nights to 84 daytime highs.

Sea Conditions: 73 inshore and rising to 75-76 offshore, light surface breezes and light Pacific swell conditions.

Best Bait/Lure: The billfish were all taken on the slow-trolled rigged baits.

Best Fishing Area: The boats were searching far and wide again for anything that might reflect an area of fish, but there was no concentrated area.
