Red snapper season may be over, but we're still fishing!
Tuesday and Wednesday saw the first deep-sea trips after the end of red snapper season. Capt. Sam Hardeman ran the New Buccaneer on offshore trips both days and came in with
Tuesday New Buccaneer: 302 vermillion snapper, 3 amberjack, 6 lane snapper, and 3 shark.
Wednesday New Buccaneer: 406 vermilion snapper, 7 amberjack, 8 lane snapper, 8 king mackerel, and 4 shark.
Captain Dusty Slingerland ran the Cavalier four-hour trips and brought in numerous sharks on each trip.
