The fishing for Salmon was good today and the weather was nice until the mid afternoon. The best areas were around 36'39/121'59, 36'41/122'00, and 36'42/121'58. There were some decent reports from Pajaro where anglers caught 4 fish at 36'51/121'53 and 36'50/121'55. The best baits were Krippled Anchovies, Green Kajikis, Blue Kajikis, Green Krocodiles, and Red F.B.R's. The fish were being caught from 50-150 feet down trolling. The mooching has still been slow with most of the Party Boats catching 4-10 fish a day. The fish are big so make sure you check your gear and use heavier line. The few boats who tried the Soquel Hole did not see much action despite the great signs of bait, birds, and whales. The fish are moving this way slowly so we should get some good reports from here soon.

The few anglers did not get any fish and the wind made them leave around 11:00 am. There were no reports from Moss Landing or Monterey that I heard. The fishing for Salmon remained slow for the few anglers who fished near Soquel Hole and Pajaro today. There were only a few boats working those areas due to the weather. The weather was not bad in the morning with rainy glassy conditions on the water. The wind started to pick up after the storm cleared in the afternoon.
