Hoot owl restrictions were lifted a couple days ago in the Northeast corner of the Park, but the rivers that are effected by the geothermals on the west side of the park remain closed. The Gallatin river has been fishing great using small hoppers, spruce moths. ants and beetles. The Lamar river has been off color these past couple of days but should clear up shortly. Small hoppers, ants and longhorn beeltes were getting us some good fishing days before all the weather. The fishing on the Yellowstone River remains excellent. Currently fish fish are focused on terrestrials such as hoppers, ants and beetles. You still may see a PMD or a drake out there so maybe have a few on hand. We will let you know if we get any rivers back on the west side of the park if we can keep the rain clouds and cooler temps around for a little while longer.
