The Upper Teton River has really turned on with our moderate weather. Use the same dry flies and emergers described for the Henry’s Fork. Like the Henry’s Fork, the flow is considerably below average so there is a lot of aquatic vegetation to deal with. You can also do well fishing a dry fly with a nymph dropper. It’s hard to beat a Parachute Adams or Purple Haze with a Tungsten Split Case or Cocktail Nymph for a dropper. You can get it done on the Lower Teton with streamers or dry/dropper. My favorites are Little Kim, Meat Whistle, and Inverted Hen Matuka. I’ve never been fond of throwing big articulated streamers, but they work great. They just aren’t much fun to cast. A Chubby with a Bullet Quill or Tungsten Jig will also catch fish.
