Yesterday was a pretty cool day. Fishing has been pretty slow as of late. Here is proof that catch and release is very effective for lake trout. The first picture is of a lake trout caught in March of 2020. That same fish was just caught and released yesterday. 5 years later. The fish has seen some miles. It still kicked away strong. The last 2 photos show exactly how epic it can be to catch a BLT. Big Lake Trout. Becca’s face is priceless with her catch at the end of the day. Both groups rented gear and hard side ice shacks from us.
