The morning bite for Salmon is going good today with some of the boats catching early limits. The Salmon are being caught out in the Soquel Hole so the easiest run is from Santa Cruz. The Salmon are in the 15-38 pound range. The Salmon are being caught 70-120 feet down trolling Krippled Anchovies, Kajikis, Pink Spoons, and Chrome Apexes. I will give you a late update with pictures later. The water is flat calm!

LATE UPDATE
The fishing was good today with scores ranging from 1-8 fish a boat. The anglers who worked the big balls of bait did best. The best lures were the Purple Haze Kajikis, Krippled Anchovies, Blue Kajikiis, Watermelon Krocodiles, and Watermelon Apexes. The best areas were in the Hole at 36' 50/121'59, 36'50/121'58, 36'49/121'59 and 36'50/121'58. The Salmon were being caught trolling 70-110 feet down. The Halibut are pushing in with scores ranging from 1-2 a boat for the anglers who put in the time. I have heard Halibut from Davenport to Capitola in 20-65 feet of water. The Rockcod was decent at Ano Nuevo and near South Rock.??
