The Salmon bite was slower in the Hole today but there were a few good scores reported. The best scores came from 3 Trees to Davenport in 250-300 feet of water. The Salmon were taking Purple Haze Kajikis, Blue Kajikis, Krippled Anchovies, Watermelon Krocodiles, and Green R.S.K.'s. The best news is that the water is calm and the fish are big. I weighed in 3 fish over 30 pounds today. Check the Fish of the Day picture! The scores from the Soquel ranged from 0-3 fish a boat working from the Black Can at 36'512/121'53 to 36'51/121'59. The water looks like it will be the same for the next few days. There were some nice Halibut caught near the Westside and near Capitola in 40-60 feet of water. The Rockcod action remains steady for the anglers who are working the reefs.
