It was another terrific fishing week from Puerto Morelos, centered between Cancun and Cozumel, that provided the anglers with a dozen species in the variety of the mixed-bag catches. This past week saw a total of 25 different charters of varied lengths that ranged from 4 to 8-hour fishing days that resulted in catches of 4 blue marlin, 1 white marlin, 3 sailfish, 46 dorado, 3 blackfin tuna, 2 wahoo, 6 bonito, 2 Spanish mackerel, 5 Atlantic barracuda, 1 amberjack, 1 triggerfish and 2 grouper. Dorado were definitely the fish of the week and were scattered in all directions from the Marina entrance.
PM Climate: Remains a bit cloudy with a slight chance for a shower here and there and temps that ranged from 76 nights to 87 daytime highs and prevailing easterly tropical surface breezes.
Sea Conditions: Great water temps holding at 84 degrees with excellent clarity and surface breezes in the 5-14 mph ranges out of the easterly directtions.
Best Bait/Lure: The freshly caught and provided ballyhoo continue to be the preferred ammunition for all of the fish.
Bait Supply: Excellent bait supply with freshly caught and provided baits on a daily basis for rigging.

Captain Temo Verboonen reported an excellent fishing week from Zihuatanejo this past week with good strikes and catches for the blue marlin and black marlin, (fish were in the 200-300 lb. ranges) at the 15 mile mark, straight out form the entrance to Zihuatanejo Bay. There was a pretty good mix of sailfish in this same area but the offshore fishing focused on the billfish and the skippers are anxiously awaiting the return of the dorado to the area....... : The water temperature remained good but the clarity turned green & the Billfish disappeared
: The tropical depression "Bud" has not hurt the fishing at IZ, nor has it hurt sea conditions
: Puerto Morelos just keeps on producing phenomenal fishing results, week after week
