The Salmon bite was slow today but there were a few lucky boats who did catch some fish. The best report I heard was from 36'54/122'04 where a angler caught his 2 fish in 20 minutes. The angler was trolling a Watermelon Apex down 110 feet in 250 feet of water. The rest of the fleet scored 0-2 fish a boat working from the Soquel Hole to Davenport. It may be time to go up near Ano Nuevo and look for the Salmon or try near the Black Can near 36'51/121'53. The halibut bite was decent for some of the anglers who worked near the Santa Cruz Harbor in 60 feet of water. There were 2 nice Halibut caught by one of my friends trolling the bounce ball rig. The anglers who worked up the coast did well up at Ano Nuevo for Rockcod and Lingcod. The Halibut anglers had a hard time running up the coast and drifting due to wind.
