HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY The fishing for Salmon was decent at 36'49/121'52 for the few anglers who were working that area. There is a new batch of Salmon on its way around the corner and we should have a good weekend. The few Salmon were caught trolling 130-180 feet down. The water was calm all morning on the Salmon grounds but there was the afternoon wind and some swell. The Halibut bite was a little slower due to the swell but there were some fish caught. The few Halibut were caught at 4 Mile Beach and in front of the Harbor. The Rockcod fishing was decent near South Rock and Natural Bridges. There were some nice Thresher Sharks caught in Capitola and some small White Seabass also. It looks like the summer is here. We are waiting for the wind to stop blowing so we can go look for Albacore.
