The Halibut and inshore Rockcod fishing is keeping anglers busy here in the Monterey Bay. The best bet for the Halibut has been to stay local near Natural Bridges down to Capitola in 40-60 feet of water. The Rockcod fishing was good at Ano Nuevo today with limits of quality Rockcod and Lingcod reported from some of the local 6 pack boats. The Salmon bite has been decent strait out of the harbor in 300 feet of water down 120-220 feet. The water was calm all morning until the wind blew around 12:30.
