The fishing for Salmon was slow but there were a few fish caught in the Soquel Hole. The Salmon were caught near 36'51/121'57 down 120 feet on the troll. The Halibut bite has begun in Capitola with some 30 pound fish being weighed in today. The Halibut are taking Dead Squid, Live Anchovies, Jack Smelt, and Dead Herring. The best bet has been to work in 40-60 feet of water. The Rockcod fishing was slower at Ano Nuevo but there were some decent reports from 4 Mile Beach. The water was flat all morning but there was some wind up at Ano Nuevo. Come fish the Derby!
