The Bass bite is fair to good at Holmes Creek Res. UT

The weather slowed down the fish last weekend. The water has also dropped six feet since last weekend. You can still catch bass along the dam early in the morning. Slow roll a buzzbait along the shore for hits from small bass in the one-pound range. If you're looking for lunkers, go deep or loud. Large rattletraps have gotten some hits, and one angler landed a nice 4.5-pound bass. Fish underwater terrain changes, if you know where they are. Small bass are still hugging the shoreline all day long. Larger bluegill are active further out from shore. Try a fireball jig with a Mr. Twister curly-tail grub tipped with some worm. White seemed to work best. Many thanks to Kevin Hammer for sending in the report.
