Deadline: November 25, 2013 at 5:00 p.m. (MDT)
The contest is open to any photographer except photographers who have been paid for work that has been printed in Wyoming Wildlife, employees of the Wyoming Game and Fish Department, members of the Wyoming Game and Fish Commission, or their immediate families. Photos must have been taken in Wyoming.
Images are required to be submitted in digital form on a CD or DVD. Transparencies and prints will no longer be accepted. The contest this year will use a digital format that will reduce staff time needed to administer the contest and eliminate the need to return images.
Categories
Entrants should choose a category for each of their photos; however, judges mayre-categorize any entry they feel would better fit another category. There is no separate division for black-and-white images; all photos in a category will be judged together. The categories are:
• Wildlife (any wild mammal, bird, reptile, amphibian, fish, arthropod, etc.)
• Scenic-pictorial (any photo in which landmarks, scenery, or inanimate objects are the main theme)
• Recreation (people enjoying the outdoors, images of people engaging in hunting, fishing, hiking, backpacking, skiing, or other outdoor activities)
• Flora(wildflowers, foliage, fruiting bodies, or other parts of plants)
Medium
All images must be submitted in DIGITAL FORM. This means each image will consist of a digital file recorded on a compact disk (CD) or digital versatile disk (DVD). Files should be in JPEG format, 300 dots per inch, 17 inches in their longest dimension. Send all your images on a single disk, placed in separate folders by category. For example, all flora images would be in one folder, all wildlife images in another folder. All disks will be destroyed after images have been chosen for the contest and the April 2013 special photo issue.
