The road leading directly to the pond from the parking lot is now open. The pond is completely open water. Fly anglers report the best fishing using nymphs and sub-surface flies around the inlet. Bait anglers report good fishing using worms just off the bottom, casting 12 to 13 feet from the shore. DWR biologists are preparing artificial habitat structures that will improve fishing at the pond in the spring.
