We last checked the pond on Feb 17. Farmington continues to receive good fishing pressure throughout the week, in the evenings and on the weekends. Many anglers are still after the large broodstock fish that are visible close to the shoreline, near the inlet. Catch rates for these big fish have slowed because of increased angling pressure and changes in the weather. Other anglers are catching the typical eight-inch rainbows, using worms, PowerBait and traditional lures and flies. Remember that the daily limit for Farmington -- and all other community ponds -- is two fish per person, per day.
