Mazatlan is producing excellent billfish catch numbers on a daily basis and everything is shaping up to be one of those banner early summer fishing seasons for this fine fishing area. Seems like we are on the verge of setting some new billfish count records for The Aries Sportfishing Fleet as our billfish counts have been nothing short of phenomenal for the entire 2015 year and has all of the appearances of being one of those fantastic fishing years. According to our on-the-spot reporter, Ms. Kitcia Ceja this past week was one of those better fishing weeks that produced excellent billfish catches and great fishing opportunities for all of the anglers. The offshore fishing fleet, reporting in for a total of 12 days fished reflected 14 striped marlin, (8 released) and 2 sailfish, (1 released). High billfish boat for the week was the Aries II, with a total of 5 striped marlin for 3 days fished and happy anglers throughout the week. The inshore super pangas had another wonderful fishing week that reflected just a couple of fish short of total limit fishing for their 7 days on the water that produced 12 permit, 83 snappers, 17 triggerfish and 26 Sea Bass. The inshore fishing is action packed from the time the first piece of bait goes is in the water.
