Corona Lake, once a highly popular pay-to-fish destination in Southern California, is currently closed to the public and no longer offers fishing access. Historically, the lake was privately managed and regularly stocked with large rainbow trout, blue catfish, and hybrid striped bass. During its operation, Corona Lake was known for producing trophy-class fish due to intensive stocking programs and controlled angler pressure.

At its peak, the lake featured a full range of amenities, including boat rentals, dock access, shoreline lighting for night fishing, and a bait and tackle shop. Anglers traveled from throughout the region to participate in holiday derbies and late-night catfish events. The consistent stocking and tight management provided a dependable, high-yield fishing environment that appealed to both novice and seasoned anglers alike.

However, due to legal, environmental, and land use complications, the lake was closed in the late 2010s and has remained inaccessible to the public. No current plans have been officially announced regarding reopening or redevelopment for fishing use.

As of now, all fishing at Corona Lake is strictly prohibited. Anglers interested in fishing in the Inland Empire are encouraged to consider nearby alternatives such as Santa Ana River Lakes, Lake Perris, or Diamond Valley Lake. Anyone seeking to fish Corona Lake should verify any future reopening announcements through official county or private operator communications.
