The full moon wreaked havoc on the Mazatlan bite and the boats, both
inshore and offshore, reported very slow action for the past week
which also coincided with a very slow week for anglers. The overall
offshore report for 9 days fished reflected 1 sailfish and 8 dorado
for the total effort and only a single super panga fishing day was
reported that reflected 3 dorado.
Mazatlan Climate: A sun-cloud mix of days with temps from 75 nights
to 90 daytime highs.
Sea Conditions: Mostly calm throughout the area with temps at 85-86
degrees and almost no swell.
Best Fishing Area: There was no concentration of fish in any
location and the boats were scattered far and wide in search of game
fish.
Best Lure/Bait: All of the offshore fish were taken on rigged
trolling baits, (mullet).
