As of Nov. 28, both the main and Island Resort boat ramps are open. The water is shallow near the Island Resort ramp, and launching larger watercraft is not recommended. Check the park's current conditions webpage for the latest information, and note that you are launching and using the reservoir at your own risk.
The reservoir was stocked with close to 3,000 rainbow trout on Nov. 8, and trout fishing is good to great. Several shore anglers report high rainbow trout catch rates using worms and trout dough bait. Garlic-scented and corn-scented dough baits seem to be working best. The reservoir has open water with no reports of ice.
