The reservoir is 95% frozen. Both the main boat ramp and the Island day-use ramp are iced in. We speculate the ice is 2 to 4 inches in the bays, but exact ice thicknesses are unknown. There is a sliver of open water northwest of the Island and at the northeastern middle Provo River inlet. A large ice fissure/crack is also visible in Rainbow Bay, but it appears to have refrozen. We advise anglers to use extreme caution and make ice safety a priority. An ice safety guide is available here.
