The billfish action remains fairly consistent and near a billfish per boat day average, (or at least an opportunity or two each fishing day). The high boat for the week was "Gaviota I", skippered by Captain Julio Torres, had a 3 striper release day just 6-7 miles from the harbor. "Gaviota VI", skippered by Captain Plutarco Cesena, landed the only two wahoo, released a couple of stripers, captured 4 dorado and 3 yellowfin tuna for his 3 fishing days. "Tuna Time", skippered by Captain Christtian Lopez, landed 6 nice amberjack in the 20-40 lb. range, fishing a morning at the Arch and released a striper and landed 4 dorado and a single yellowfin tuna for his 1.5 fishing days. The overall catches reflected 13 stripers released, 26 dorado, 6 amberjack, 2 wahoo and 21 yellowfin tuna. The tuna have been mostly incidental catches by blind jig strikes and no real concerntration.

Cabo Climate: Warming up! Mostly sunny with intermittent passing clouds with temps from 73 nights to 94 daytime highs.

Sea Conditions: Pacific cool water has mostly dissipated and risen to the 74-75 degree level at the Jaime Bank and 73 at the Golden Gate Bank. Cabo San Lucas is at 74 & rises to 80-81 into the Sea of Cortez. Most of the area is a very clean and deep blue color.

Best Fishing Area: Continues to be close, from Gray Rock, (Cabeza del Ballena) to Chileno Bay and 2-5 miles offshore.

Best Lure/Bait: Live bait remains best for the stripers, albeit, there is a few fishing chasing the aritificals and allowing for the live bait drop back, (bait & switch method) that is enormously effective. Yellowfin tuna on the feathers and dorado on both, artificials and live bait combinations.
