It was a difficult week for the offshore fishing from Mazatlan with a lack of anglers and boat fished days and slow fishing with a couple of closed port days due to rough water conditions. Offshore catches for seven days reflected 2 sailfish released and 6 yellowfin tuna. The inshore super pangas fared much better for their anglers and reflected good action and a variety in the mix of fish. Reporting in for 5 days fished, the super pangas reflected 27 dorado, 5 pargo, 3 toro, 1 corvina, 2 yellowfin tuna and 2 mojarres.

Mazatlan Climate: Mostly cloudy with rolling thunder today and scattered thunder storms, with temps from 80 nights to 89 daytime highs.

Sea Conditions: Two port closure days due to rough water conditions created from Tropical Storm Frank. Temps remain at 88 inshore and falling to 86 offshore with green water to about 15 miles, then cleaning to blue water out from there.

Best Fishing Area: None reported.

Best Lure/Bait: sailfish taken on rigged trolling baits.

Bait Supply: Remains very good for both live and rigged trolling baits.
