Captain Temo Verboonen sounded almost excited with his fishing report this week that reflected good fishing in the nearby offshore waters that started at about 13 miles or so. Lots of dorado, sailfish and striped marlin are biting and chasing the big schools of bonitos. He says, "we are fishing around the bonito schools and having superb luck with many strikes on the surface and even better on the downriggers. The best concentration is due south of Zihuatanejo". The inshore fishing is very good for the light tackle and producing excellent catches of Sierra and bonitos and allowing for fun fishing. Many more anglers showing up on the docks this week. The water color is green and turns clear at the 13 mile mark where the fishing is close to red-hot.

IZ Climate: Mostly sunny and warm days with temps from 69 nights to 91 daytime highs.

Sea Conditions: Mostly calm and flat with light tropical breezes. Temps inshore at 80 degrees and rising to 84 by 10-11 miles offshore. Clean water begins about 13-15 miles.

Best Fishing area: Starts at about 13 miles at the clean/dirty water edge.

Best Bait/Lure: Live bonito working quite well for the marlin and dorado and the rigged trolling baits working well for sailfish.

Bait Supply: Remains very good for rigged baits and plenty of bonito at the fishing grounds.
